Union Community Activist Network (UCAN)
Labor reaches out to the community through its Union
Community Activist Network in many ways. One of the
Union Community Activist Network (UCAN) goals is to
encourage our neighbors to actively participate in community
events. UCAN has mobilized individuals to volunteer
for events such as United Way Day of Caring, Civic Participation
Day, and the Campaign for Working Families, just to
name just a few.
UCAN members are members of unions, government and
community organizations that are dedicated to making
a difference in our community. Meeting monthly, UCAN
members organize events aimed at ongoing training and
volunteerism for our neighbors. Through these efforts,
we are affecting change in our region.
