"Silent No More"
Workshop To Help Women of Color Combat Heart Disease and StrokeThe risk factors of death and disability due to heart disease and stroke is four times greater among African American and Latino women than Caucasian women.
To educate women of color about the scope of the problem in their communities and to reduce the risk factors, The American Heart Association and the Cardiovascular Institute of Philadelphia (CVI), in partnership with United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, will present the fourth Silent No More Conference.
The FREE one-day educational conference, takes place on Saturday, April 20, 2002 from 8:00A.M. to 2:00P.M at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, 1200 Market Street in Philadelphia.
Silent No More will feature a welcome address by Gwen Foster, City of Philadelphia Fitness Czar, and a keynote presentation by Terri Webb, WJJZ 106.1 FM Radio Host, as well as, FREE breakfast and lunch, five dynamic workshops, health screenings, and much more.
