PREPARING CHILDREN & YOUTH TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND IN LIFE
Each year 13,000 children attend kindergarten in The School District of Philadelphia.
Less than 6,000 are pre-registered. On the first day of kindergarten, unregistered
children experience chaos, long lines and waiting, frustration from adults
and in some cases rejection (kindergarten classes are full).
The First day of Kindergarten is an historic event for every child. On
that day children need to feel confident, safe and special. This mindset
is critical
to success in school.
By registering early for kindergarten, you can be assured that the school district has a space for y our child and enough kindergarten teachers to prevent overcrowding in classrooms.
Your child will also be eligible for Philadelphia’s Kindergarten is Key! special promotions and events.
