2011 Stuff the Bus

We did it! We filled 17,000+ backpacks with school supplies this year!
On Thursday, August 25th, 2011, United Way's “Stuff the Bus” program and Cradles to Crayons’ “Backpack-a-Thon” joined together to fill backpacks with school supplies for low-income and homeless children. We exceeded our goal of 15,000 backpacks by providing 17,000 children in southeastern Pennsylvania with the tools they need to succeed this school year! These children received backpacks stuffed with notebooks, pencils, pens, pocket folders, crayons, rulers, calculators, safety scissors and binders with the help of 250 social service agencies. Good luck on your first day of the new school year!
